Having been involved in the family business of chemical trading during the 80, he took a huge risk in getting into manufacturing of chemicals. At the age of 20, his zeal to prove saw him travel from Mumbai to Andhra Pradesh where he established a chemical plant as a co-promoter with the government of Andhra Pradesh. What was seen as a risky proposition was turned into a profit venture with the plant going debt free within 3 years of its operations. The flagship product of SB Organics Ltd, Guanidine Nitrate made entry into markets like Germany, US, South Africa, catapulting the company into the biggest player in its space. Samir Jain’s next stint was with herbal beauty products. He identified a brilliant plot of land, stretching over 1800 acres where no pesticides or chemicals were used. Jain studied the plot and enlisted help from experts which resulted in the birth of the brand Natura. Jain, moved onto real estate next, acquiring 14 acres of land and promoting 1550 apartments in record time. Samir Jain is a key stakeholder in SB Group of Companies, which has a current turnover of over USD 60 Million.
Samir Jain joined hands with Rajiv in the year 2003. His instinctive business sense and astute decisions shaped up Green Gold from a humble start of a one man army to 1000 plus team strength today. Jain’s key area of responsibility is generating revenue and strengthening the brand Green Gold. He directly oversees branding, licensing and merchandising verticals. At Green Gold, he has not only developed procurement channels outside the country but also generated demand in various international markets.
