Over the past twenty years Chris has built a career in brand management & identity, brand communications, and brand licensing. He worked in the Telecoms and then the Motor Insurance & Breakdown sectors in the UK before being approached to join Oxford Limited as Managing Director in 2007. Chris’ role encompasses the management and development of the University of Oxford retail and brand licensing programmes, and he has built a global network of agents and licensees in key category areas that are relevant to the university, its history and accomplishments. His carefully planned approach to brand licensing that involves considerable strategic planning and proposition development has already paid off, with licensees appointed in territories as far afield as China, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, and North America as well as in the United Kingdom and Europe. Oxford Limited is now planning for significant growth and Chris believes that India will play a key part in this ambition, reflecting the rising importance of the country on the world stage as well as the development of an established brand licensing industry in the territory.
