'ThunderCats' unleashed

In an attempt to push its rebooted ThunderCats animation deeper into the lives of eager viewers later this year, Cartoon Network has recently announced a handful of new licensing partners. ThunderCats is scheduled to premiere on Cartoon Network both in the U.S. and the UK by Q3 2011. Panini, publisher of comics, magazines, and graphic novels, has signed on to produce a ThunderCats magazine. Referring to action sports, MV Sports (Birmingham, England) will reportedly contribute scooters and other wheeled toys to the mix. However, for seasonal costumes, fans will have to turn to Ruies Costume Co. Inc., which actively supplies thousands of party and dress-up retailers with costume and role-play accessories. And finally catering to the business of room décor, furniture accents, and bathroom ornamentation is Character World, Ltd. (Cheshire, England).
