"Angry Birds" creator Rovio Entertainment has launched a new mobile game, "Nibblers," which features classic connect-three puzzle play.
"Nibblers" stars a group of fishes that have ventured out of the water to explore the world above the waves. As they travel around a series of islands, they must match rows of forbidden fruit while evading reptiles.
At launch the game features more than 200 levels, with new levels being added regularly.
“We’re thrilled to bring a completely new IP to the mobile gaming scene. Nibblers may be newly evolved creatures, but fans of our other games will recognize the Rovio touches–strong characters, beautiful visuals, and a lush soundtrack recorded with a live orchestra and soloists. This will be a game you want to return to again and again,” said Heini Kaihu, head of studio, Rovio.
Additionally, by connecting to Facebook, players can challenge friends in the leaderboards or cooperate by sharing special gifts that help each other survive.
"Nibblers" was soft-launched in Canada, Finland, New Zealand and Australia at the beginning of the summer. The game is now available now in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese.
