Mattel Toys has appointed Director for Brand Solutions Group  of the Walt DIsney COmapany – Seema Chawla as the Head, Marketing in India. 

Chawla has moved to Mattel India from The Walt Disney Company where she was Director, Brand Solutions Group, Disney Media+ and Disney Media Networks. In her last role at Disney, she was responsible for leading creative and marketing solutions for partners, working across all the lines of Disney’s business – TV, Movies, Licensing, Digital and Live Events.

At Mattel, Chawla will be responsible for the growth of their powerful brands Barbie, Hotwheels, Fisher-Price and Thomas and Friends. She will also be taking care of Mega Bloks and Games such as Scrabble and Uno.

Chawla has replaced Rahul Bhowmik who moved out of the company in 2015 after serving for 12 years. Mattel has a strong presence in India with its portfolio of Hot Wheels, Barbie, Fisher-Price, Uno, Scrabble and others. Chawla has over 16 years of experience and has worked at The Walt Disney Company, DDB Mudra and Percept H.

At Mattel, Chawla will be responsible for the growth of their powerful brands Barbie, Hotwheels, Fisher-Price and Thomas and Friends. She will also be taking care of Mega Bloks and Games such as Scrabble and Uno.
