The Barcelona-based outfit, Art Ask Agency has launched a line of Frida Kahlo licensed apparel in Mango. Founded in 1984, the fashion retailer is also based in Barcelona but has an extensive network of 2,200 stores across 109 countries. ‘This is a perfect match between Mango, clothing for today’s women, and Frida Kahlo, today’s icon for strong women,’ read a statement from the firm. In addition to Mango, Frida Kahlo Corporation’s licensing programme will be announcing more fashion deals in 2018, as well as product launches in many other categories. Last month witnessed the fashion first collaboration with Princesse Tam-Tam from the Fast Retailing Co. Elsewhere, the V&A Museum has launched a Frida Kahlo Make Her Self Up exhibition, readying for opening this June. “Visibility is high for Frida Kahlo and we are very pleased to be able to give consumers the opportunity to have a little piece of Frida for themselves,” said Maria Strid, from Art Ask Agency.
