Lego, the toy brick maker, is thanking the magical qualities of Harry Potter as the company recently announced booming sales and market share figures. The Danish group now claims to be the world's fourth largest toy manufacturer with a global market share of 5.9%. Lego has come back into fashion over the recent years as the company struggled in the first half of the past decade, but its fortunes turned around after management consultants were brought in. The group has been increasing market share across the world with its classic ranges such as Lego City and Lego Star Wars which were especially popular with consumers in 2010, but virtually all product lines sold more than expected. The launch of the new ‘Lego Harry Potter’ products further consolidated the market position of the Company over the Christmas period.
