Expanding its partnership with Flipkart and Myntra, luxury watchmaker Fossil anounced the launch of its 5E smartwatch series to cater to the growing demand for wearable technologies in India. Unveiled recently at the Consumer Electronics Show 2021, the Gen 5E smartwatch offers personalised options with multiple enhancements and a long battery life.
The smartwatch has a 1.19 inch AMOLED display that’s always on and also options for personalisation including various interchangeable straps and watch faces. The advanced sensors in the smartwatch series provides promising data to power all the health and fitness apps. Additionally, with various smart battery modes including daily mode, extended mode, time only mode and custom mode, users can conveniently stay connected with notifications for calls, texts and apps among others. The new launch is aimed at offering an elevated experience to the brand’s consumer base, with the ability to connect with Smart Home devices devices, lights, music and more.
Fossil launched the new smartwatch series in India after debuting it first in the US in October last year. The Gen 5E smartwatch is a slightly stripped-down Gen 5 that was launched in 2019. The 5E has an AMOLED display and has features like water resistance, heart rate monitoring and quick charge.the launch is well timed since India has become one of the fastest growing markets fro wearables in the world, with a tectonic shift in the consumption of wearable technologies.
