Baseline to bring Liverpool FC's coaching to UAE

Sports Marketing, Entertainment & Licensing startup Baseline Ventures has partnered with Dubai-based sports and events management company PESCO to launch Liverpool Football Club's first full-time coaching programme in the United Arab Emirates. The partnership is expected to deliver ongoing player development programmes to youngsters within a network of schools in the country. The youth coaching project, which will initially focus on schools in Dubai, will officially start from October 2015 and will provide a opportunity for young players to learn to play 'The Liverpool Way', said a statement.

Earlier this year Baseline had raised $4-5 million from a US-based venture capital firm. The startup was launched by Tuhin Mishra, Vipin Nair, R Ramakrishnan, and Vishal Jaison. The statement adds that the programme will provide youngsters between the ages of 8 and 15 with the opportunity to improve their football skills and develop in the technical, tactical, physical and social aspects of the game through age-specific coaching sessions.
